2022 Summit

September 15, 2022 9:00 am

Join Mayor Muriel Bowser and the Mayor’s Office on Women’s Policy and Initiatives (MOWPI) at the 5th National Maternal & Infant Health Summit!

The 5th annual Mayor Muriel Bower’s Maternal & Infant Health Summit will feature panel discussions, community spaces, breakout sessions, and a virtual resource expo dedicated to connecting District residents with local and national resources and supports needed to families have what they need to thrive.

This year, Mayor Bowser is inviting DC residents, elected officials, health and education leaders, community-based partners, and moms from across the US to collaborate and explore strategies to improve perinatal health and address racial disparities in birth outcomes.

Summit session themes will include Economic Equity, Health Outcomes, and Culture in Parenting. The day will begin with a networking breakfast and include a Fireside Chat-style luncheon. Onsite childcare and pumping stations will be available at no additional cost.

For reasonable accommodations, please contact the Mayor’s Office on Women’s Policy and Initiatives at woman@dc.gov.
